ABOUT JONES INSTITUTE

Jones Institute for Advanced Medicine was born from the passion of its founders to help clients regain the quality of life they enjoyed in their younger years.

Geoff Jones, M.D., has more experience practicing anti-aging and preventive medicine than any other physician in the Midwest. Since 1999 he has limited his practice to these fields. He is a popular speaker at continuing education programs for physicians.

During the early 1990s, Dr. Jones encountered his own significant health problems. Trusted colleagues offered him medications that controlled some of his symptoms, but did nothing to correct the underlying causes. His health continued to decline.

His efforts to find solutions helped him recognize something about the standard approach of medicine he had not seen before:  it is focused on identifying and treating disease, not in producing health.  He did not have a diagnosable disease.  His malfunctioning was not yet serious enough.  He needed a medical approach for improving health. 

This realization led Dr. Jones into extensive training in health-oriented medicine with some of the early leaders such as:  Vince Giampapa, M.D. (first Chairman of the American Board of Anti-aging Medicine); Cenegenics Medical Institute; and Thierry Hertoghe,M.D. (President of the International Hormone Society and President of the Belgium Society of Anti-aging Medicine).  As a result, Dr. Jones left his previous practice and founded Jones Institute for Advanced Medicine.  Now in his 50's he feels the best he has since his early 20's.

Cheri Jones, R.D., M.P.H. co-founded the Institute out of her passion to help clients enjoy both the wisdom that comes with age along with the energy and mental sharpness usually associated with youth.  “Our generation is the first to be able to enjoy both,” she says.

In her late 30s, her own health declined—despite her rigorous exercise program and careful attention to eating healthfully.  When she couldn’t find solutions in the medical system, she decided to experiment until she found her own solutions. 

Regaining her health gave her a passionate desire to do this for others.  Now in her 50s, people tell her she looks younger than she did 15 years ago.  The important thing to her is that she feels better!

Cheri addresses the practical side of this life-changing program.  She helps clients find ways to implement the medical solutions in a way that meshes easily with how they’ve chosen to structure their lives.

Gene Parkerson, CEO, joined the Jones Institute after becoming acquainted with Geoff and Cheri as friends, then as a client and business consultant. Having directly experienced the significant benefits of Dr. Jones’ advanced medicine program, Gene became deeply interested in this new and beneficial field of medicine.

After serious discussions, Gene, Dr. Jones and Cheri realized they shared mutual interests in growing the practice. From this shared interest, Gene and the Joneses combined his business experience with their medical expertise in anti-aging and preventive medicine. The objective of their partnership is the growth and expansion of the practice.
